Maryland pop-punk pioneers Good Charlotte hit London on the 20th February to treat us to their brilliant latest album, Generation RX, and they’re bringing a stellar line-up in tow! Their European tour makes a stop at Alexandra Palace, where you shall be graced with undoubtedly brilliant sets from post-hardcore sweethearts Sleeping With Sirens and our favourites, Blackpool rockers Boston Manor.

Such a line-up is intriguing and very cleverly chosen; Good Charlotte, obviously, are utterly iconic. They’re masters of old-school, American-style pop-punk – it’s going to be euphoric and those who miss out will sourly regret it. Sleeping With Sirens are also from the States, but of a pretty different genre; they’re the lighter, more accessible side of post-hardcore, and frontman Kellin Quinn has quite the set of pipes! They’re sure to impress people who have never seen them before and keep long-time fans happy.

Good Charlotte DEFINITELY made a good decision in sticking with a UK-based alt-rock band for their choice of first support – Boston Manor are the band pop-punk needs and others in the genre should be taking note from them. Their impossibly infectious choruses will get the crowds in a frenzy whilst still delivering a shot of much-needed heartfelt angst in the process. Their 2018 release, Welcome To The Neighbourhood, was one of our albums of the year and to see it gain the recognition it deserves sharing the stage with veterans of the genre is something no one will want to miss.

Essentially, there’s something for everyone in this line-up! Good Charlotte will of course be brilliant as always, and their openers have clearly been carefully selected to showcase all best bits every branch of pop-punk has to offer. What’s not to love?
